Failed Requests: How to Investigate

Failed Requests are transactions that failed during:

  • Validation
  • Submission to ZATCA

They are visible under:

 Reports → Failed Request Report 

Step-by-Step Investigation Process

Step 1: Identify Error Code

Review the standardized error label.

Step 2: Read the Detailed Message

Understand the human-readable explanation.

Step 3: Identify the Source

Check where the transaction originated (API, Integration, Manual).

Step 4: Validate Business Data

Verify:

  • VAT numbers
  • Tax calculations
  • Document type

Step 5: Resubmit

Correct data and regenerate transaction.

When to Escalate

Warning

Escalate to support if:

  • Error persists after correction
  • ZATCA response is inconsistent
